Do you have leftover little bits of Martinborough Manner jam? This recipe uses jam instead of honey. It doesn’t matter what jams you have – any little bit added to a master quantity works.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 deg C.
  2. Place the jam, oil and salt in a roasting pan.
  3. Carefully melt this in the oven.
  4. Add the rolled oats and chopped nuts and the seeds.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes until the mixture is golden brown. I do mine in 5 minute bursts. Cool, breaking the mix up with your hands once it is cool enough to do so.
  7. When the mix is completely cool, add the dried fruit and mix through.
  8. Store in an airtight jar. DO NOT DROP YOUR MUESLI JAR ON THE FLOOR!
